The Shasta
Passage
A pilgrimage from the freeways of California to the most potent mountain vortex in the United States.
Request your datesA private ceremony built around one person, held in the presence of a living mountain.
This is a private road ceremony, created and held for one person at a time. Three of us travel together: you, myself, and one trusted collaborator holding space alongside me. We drive north with intention at every mile, letting the city fall away and the music play over the miles as we climb toward the mountain. Once we arrive, the days move from the headwaters, to the summit meadows, to the still water of an alpine lake. We harvest water at the source and offer it back in song. We make offerings to earth, water, air, and fire. We walk into Panther Meadows, a spring held sacred for generations, and channel the mountain through voice. We play beside a lake shaped like a heart, and stand inside a hidden waterfall that has moved through this mountain for centuries. Every stop is chosen for what it opens in you.
I consider the evening twilight on Mount Shasta one of the grandest sights I have ever witnessed.Theodore Roosevelt · 1908
Los Angeles → Mount Shasta
The passage is written from Los Angeles. Pickup is also arranged from Santa Barbara, San Francisco, Palo Alto, and other points along the road north, and the route shapes itself around where we begin.
The Departure
We leave early and drive north as one continuous passage, music carrying us over the miles as the city falls behind us and tunes us toward the mountain long before we reach it. About three hours in, we stop at Harris Ranch for a proper sit-down meal, a real pause rather than a roadside grab. From there we climb the final stretch of I-5 as Shasta rises ahead, arriving at Mount Shasta City by evening and settling into our lodging for the mountain days.
The ascent · Music on the roadArrival at the Mountain
Our first full day on the mountain opens at the headwaters, where we harvest water from the source and offer the first song of the day to the spring as it emerges. From there we drive Everitt Memorial Highway to Panther Meadows, a spring-fed alpine meadow near timberline held sacred for generations by the Winnemem Wintu, Shasta, Karuk, and Pit River peoples. We walk the meadow slowly, on the marked trail and away from the spring itself, and make our offerings there with full respect for the land and the people who carry it. On the mountain we offer to each of the four elements, earth, water, air, and fire, and work with the voice the way it is meant to be used, to activate. As dusk settles, harp and voice rise together into the alpenglow.
Elemental offerings · Voice activation · Live musicChannelling the mountain. This is the practice at the heart of the journey. We sit in silence and listen for what the mountain gives, then let it move through voice, whether it arrives as words, as melody, or as pure chant. You learn to work with elemental energy directly, in your own body, with time held for you to create alone as well.
Heart Lake and Faery Falls
We wake well before sunrise and drive twenty minutes to the Castle Lake trailhead. From there, a mile of climbing through granite and pine brings us to Heart Lake, a small alpine pool that holds a perfect reflection of Shasta's summit at daybreak. We arrive as the light turns the water gold, and hold a music and sound offering right at the water's edge. From there we move to Faery Falls, a short easy hike along Ney Springs Creek past the old stone ruins of a forgotten mountain resort, to a fifty-foot cascade tucked into the forest, with time at the pool for a water blessing and a moment of quiet immersion. The afternoon is left open for rest and integration.
Sunrise hike + Waterfall blessing + RestThe Closing
Our final morning is held as a bespoke closing ceremony, shaped in the moment around whatever has moved through you across the four days prior. This may take the form of a private sound bath, a one-on-one channeled session, or a guided meditation, whatever the mountain and your own process call for. We also return to the Shasta headwaters to gather water to carry home, to imbibe and to offer to the spirits of the land where you live, so the mountain travels back with you. We close in circle together before beginning the drive home.
Bespoke closing · Water to carry homeFive Hundred Miles, One Mountain
A single road north, one grounding meal stop, and the mountain sites, Panther Meadows, Castle Lake, and Faery Falls, that hold the ceremony once we arrive.
Built with room to breathe
Each day carries its own arc, from water at the source, to song on the summit, to long hours by still water as the light goes. The days are full, and the rhythm inside them belongs to the mountain rather than a clock. I hold every piece of it, so your only work is to arrive and let yourself be carried. With every detail held for you, you are free to be fully present to the mountain and to yourself.
Everything is arranged so the only thing asked of you is your presence.

This journey is for you if:
The Passage is built for entrepreneurs, founders, visionaries, and high-level creators: people who hold worlds together, make decisions all day for everyone around them, and are ready for a true pattern interrupt inside one of the most powerful energetic mountain vortexes on the planet. For four days, every decision is lifted from you, and the mountain takes it from there.
- You are ready for a full reset and want a private guide the entire way, rather than a group retreat.
- You feel called to Mount Shasta specifically and want your time there to be intentional, ceremonial, and unhurried.
- You move comfortably in your body, including moderate hiking at altitude and early mornings.
- You are open to a closing ceremony that takes shape in the moment, rather than a fixed script.
- You value privacy and depth, and a container small enough that you are fully met the whole way through.
Mountain Photography Session
An optional session with Shasta Photography, local to Mount Shasta City, to hold the journey in image as well as memory. Environmental portraits, shot in the same light and land the ceremony moves through.
USD, private and fully bespoke. One client held at a time, guided one-on-one by myself and one collaborator for the entire four-day passage.
